Ask7 Privacy Policy
Effective August 30, 2026 · Revised September 7, 2026
1.Information We Collect
Ask7 has no accounts or logins and collects no direct personal identifiers such as name, email address, or phone number. The following information is collected when you use the service.
- The question text you enter and its verdict. If you use the “Ask a follow-up” feature, a summary of the earlier question is sent along as context.
- The question language and device locale
- Coarse region information derived from your IP address (country or region level). We do not store the raw IP address; we store only an irreversible hash value.
- The vote you choose in “Where do you stand?” (With the asker / With the other side / Torn). Votes are shown only as aggregate counts, never by individual.
- An optional anonymous profile (gender, age range, occupation, and area type). For area type, you choose only one of three options (big city, smaller city, or rural/suburban), and it is not an address or location. You can use every feature without entering it. The values are stored on your device and sent with votes and question requests without any name or identifier. They are used for anonymous per-generation statistics and, if you select the Teens age range, also to apply the safety check on risky or illegal questions more strictly.
2.Voice Input (Microphone)
When you tap the microphone button in the app, your device operating system’s speech recognition (Apple speech recognition on iOS, Google speech recognition on Android) converts your speech to text. Ask7 does not record or store audio files or send them to Ask7’s servers; only the converted text is used as your question. During speech recognition, voice data may be sent to Apple’s or Google’s servers, which is governed by each company’s privacy policy. The microphone permission is used only when you tap the button, and you can type your question with the keyboard even if you do not grant the permission.
3.Advertising
The mobile app shows a Google AdMob banner ad at the bottom of the result screen. To serve ads and measure their performance, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect the device advertising identifier, coarse location derived from the IP address, ad impression and click data, and app performance and error diagnostics. On iOS, the app does not request App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission and does not use the advertising identifier for tracking that combines it with information from other companies’ apps or websites. Users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the UK see a consent screen before ads are shown and can change their choice at any time under “Ad privacy settings” in the app. For details on how Google processes data, see Google's advertising policies. The web version at ask7.kr has no ads.
4.Share Links
Tapping “Share link” creates an address for the verdict result page (ask7.kr/r/…). Anyone with the link can open this page, which shows the question text and the AI verdict. There is no list, search, or feed, but entering exactly the same question opens the same result page. Please be careful not to include personal information or real names in your questions.
5.Purposes of Collection
- Providing the service, such as generating verdicts and tallying votes
- Improving service quality and preventing misuse and abuse
- Producing anonymous statistics (in aggregate form that cannot identify individuals)
- Serving ads and measuring ad performance (mobile app)
6.Processors and Third-Party Disclosure
The following companies process information to provide the service. We do not sell or provide information to any other third party.
- OpenAI (AI processing to generate verdicts: question text and context)
- Vercel (service hosting)
- Supabase (data storage)
- Google AdMob (mobile app advertising)
- Apple / Google (speech recognition by the device operating system, when the microphone is used)
7.Retention and Deletion
Collected information is kept while the service operates and is deleted without delay when you request deletion. The anonymous profile and language setting stored on your device are removed when you delete the app. Please be careful not to enter personal information in your questions.
8.Your Rights and Contact
To have the question or vote data you entered deleted, please send a request to the email address below. If you include the relevant question text or result link with your request, we can process it quickly.

9.Children’s Personal Information
Ask7 is not directed at children under 14 years of age and does not intentionally collect children’s personal information.
10.AI Simulation Notice
Ask7’s verdicts and panel voices are the results of AI persona simulations and do not replace real polls or real people’s opinions. Only the “Where do you stand?” counts are numbers gathered from real users’ choices.
